It’s a nice homey atmosphere. Don’t know if the person at the register was the owner or not but very friendly. I wish I would’ve asked for more bbq sauce. I started eating in the parking lot. This was my first visit but I’ll be back for more food and he’s from my city Nola!!!!!!!

I recently dined at Rosako’s Soul Food Restaurant and was blown away by their Loaded Bake Potatoes with BBQ Brisket—it’s hands down the best in town! The flavor was perfection, and the tenderness was unmatched. But what truly made my experience memorable was Al's exceptional customer service. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. Can't wait to come back for more delicious food and top-notch service!

When you walk into the restaurant it smelled like it should-smokey/charred authentic BBQ. My family LOVED our meal. We got chicken (thigh & leg) potatoes and greens. I didn't get a chance to take a pic because my daughter immediately dug in. 10 out of 10 would recommend

Delicious! Fish cooked to order and to perfection. Seasoned to a "T"! Mac N Cheese was yummy and the potato salad was cool. Their yams are like sweet potato pie in a bowl. Greens are flavorful. I am a Rib Tip LOVER!!! They have them all day everyday as they should because they are exquisite! Juicy and tender the sauce is a bonus and not required! Yumty!! Customer service is great. They are very kind and gracious with last minute changes. Prices are very reasonable. Have been in a near by city for four year hitting and missing with other restaurants for the same food and they were right up the street this whole time. LOVE THIS PLACE!!

I ordered online thru To Good To Go, and was not expecting what I walked in to. This little gem is a small red building that I've probably driven by 100 times. I was instantly greeted by the delicious smell of BBQ, and by Big Al, who runs the place. I immediately recognized a kind soul, and a man excited not just about the food he serves, but also about a level of service and hospitality that can only be outshined by his big beautiful smile. Big Al and I spent a good 20 minutes talking about Rosako and his service to our country and resulting family life that lead to the creation of his restaurant. We chatted about Big Al's home of New Orleans, good food, and the ways Rosako's gives back to the community and our Veterans. I was touched to my very soul. I went over every piece of the menu with Big Al, having found in him another foodie to share my love with. I wanted to try a little of everything on the menu, but settled for adding some ribs, collared greens, black eyed pea salad (cowboy caviar) and banana pudding to my existing order that had chicken thighs, sweet potatoes, mac & cheese and smoked sausage. Everything was AMAZING! Even my kids loved it! The portions were generous, and everything tasted like it was graced by the love and SOUL put into it by Big Al and Rosako himself. I will definitely be coming back again and again. I left with my giant haul of food, after giving Big Al a hug. Until we meet again! I gone Rosako's 11 out of 10!!!!

Did a too good to go and was NOT disappointed. I'll be coming back to try the rest of the menu. Absolutely amazing flavors and everything I got was cooked to perfection. I was blown away with the taste from the cabbage, the mac was delicious and the smoked turkey was on point. If you're like me and have seen this establishment when driving Brown Trail, you gotta stop in and try whatever you've enjoyed anywhere else - they'll have it topped i'm sure. Coming back next time to try the smoked meatloaf, carrots and fried green tomatoes I saw someone get ahead of me.

ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! We found Rosako's through Too Good To-Go. It was delicious, so we came back another day to order from the menu. We ordered the stuffed turkey leg and the meat plate with fried okra and collard greens. Everything we had was scrumptious!! We will definitely be back!

From the moment I walked in, the customer service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made me feel right at home. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and take pride in what they do. Now let’s talk about the food—incredible! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy, and the sides were just as impressive. You can taste the love and attention that goes into every bite. If you’re looking for great BBQ with even better service, this is the place. I’ll definitely be coming back and bringing friends!
